The 3rd International Conference on Responsible Use of Antibiotics in Animals was held at the Royal Tropical Institute in Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

The Royal Tropical Institute building, which dates from 1926, has been one of Amsterdam's architectural landmarks. The building stands out with its elaborate neo-Renaissance style and numerous embellishments that are reminiscent of different cultures around the world. The Royal Tropical Institute is an independent knowlegde centre specialising in health, sustainable economics & social development, culture and education & information.
